There's no such thing as a healthy "teacup" sized. You will also not get one that young from a reputable breeder.. minimum age is 8 weeks.. with small dogs, many breeders wait until 10-12 weeks before letting the pup go to its new home.

"teacups" are obtained from poor and unhealthy breeding practices.. Maltese are already small dogs anyways at 7 pounds or less.

Try a shelter or rescue or ask the Maltese Club for a referral to a reputable breeder who shows and does genetic health testing to assure healthy dogs..

'Healthy' and 'teacup' are usually contradictory terms. Selling a puppy under 8 weeks is illegal in most places.

* Any breeder who offers 'teacup' puppies is a fraud.
* Any breeder who sells 5-7 weeks old puppies is irresponsible and an animal abuser.
* Anyone who does business with such a 'breeder' is an idiot.

Nowhere. None of them are healthy....and 6-7 weeks old is too young to sell a puppy.

Please don't fall for the "teacup" fad, you won't get your moneys worth.

1 you get them at 12 weeks of age, any sooner is asking for trouble which people don't seem to understand. 2, teacups are sickly runts so your statement "healthy... teacup sized" is an oxymoron.

Please read up on the real breed and don't give in to stupidity.

the words healthy and teacup dont go together.

do some more research before you start your dog search. responsible pet owners dont buy or own "teacup" dogs. If you HAD done your research, you would know that the Maltese comes in ONE size. ONE. That's it!! Asking about a teacup dog just makes you sound immature and unintelligent. It's like asking about a teacup great Dane. Know why that sounds ignorant?? Because Danes come in ONE size!!!! It's the SAME thing as asking about a teacup maltese/yorkie/poodle/etc.
