That’s good that you are going to take him to an obedience class! Try Googling or GoodSearching “NILIF” — stands for Nothing In Life Is Free. Good luck!
get a plastic bottle and fill it with stones, and when he barks shake it in his face and in a firm voice say no and keep repeating this, but don’t let him see the bottle otherwise he will bark when he knows that you don’t have the bottle.
Please don’t hit him because it is natural for a dog to bark anyway, so hitting him is just going to make him annoyed.
I know that this won’ t be of any help to you (so don’t bother reading if you don’t wanna) but my male Yorkie does the same thing! Then when I really show him I’m very serious by wagging my finger and speaking more stearn, he retreats into a little corner and I feel bad. Then I pet him and say “Be a good boy, baby!” and he licks me. Then we’re back on good terms and his back to his play biting. I don’t get it…
Nothing In Life Is Free (NILIF)
can’t help with the barking but try not scolding him try only rewarding good behavior (walks and treats and hugs/petting) and ignoring him and saying BAD DOG (in a firm voice) when yuo dont like something. dogs just want to be loved and it will learn that it can only get love by doing certain things. worked for several of my pit bulls can definitely work on a maltipoo
how are you scolding your baby, if you are yelling at him he will bark.he maybe scared when you yell at him. What i do with my pitbull puppy is totally ignore him for awhile. Let him know im mad at him.He hates it. Try it
