But honestly, I wouldn’t suggest bringing more puppies into the world. Not to go soft or anything, but so many dogs die a year because of over breeding, and I wouldn’t want to see little Maltese’ die from abuse or starvation.
No such thing as a t-cup dog. Take your byb bred male and get him fixed. No one with a WELL BRED Maltese female is going to even look at him.
I am sure however IF you want to insist on being an irresponsible breeder/owner I am sure you can find some other potential byb out ther by posting ads on kijiji.
you male is NOT in need of a female friend. He is however in need of having his testicles removed and not contributing to the numbers of badly bred purebreds and unwanted mutts being bred by bybs daily.
I’m afraid i have to agree with the above, get your dog neutered and enjoy him as a pet, stop trying to make money off of him. And if your not trying to make money there’s no need to breed him right?
?
Something similar, as you obviously don’t know you’ve been ripped off with a runt yet.
I have had dog all my life and never had one say to me can you get me a friend to mate with. Never had one say I need a friend period.
The runt (tea cup) as you call it isn’t a quality bred dog so Please just get him neutered.
There is NO such thing as a ‘teacup’, first of all.
That is a phrase used by unscrupulous breeders to try to sell more puppies–and for MORE money!
Why are you breeding, or trying to breed, your dog?
How old is your makle maltese?
NO dog ‘is in need of sex’, and I DO know what I mean.
What are you hoping to get out of this? One puppy?
And what do you plan to do with THAT puppy? Breed her?
8 million puppies, dogs and cats are killed every year in this country alone because of people wanting their dog to ‘have sex’ and bring more unwanted puppies into the world.
THINK. Go work in a shelter and look into the eyes of the dogs going to be killed that day.
I really do not mean to sound harsh but you obviously do not know much if anything at all about breeding. Otherwise, you would not even use the word teacup. There is no such thing as a teacup anything! That is a name BYB’s came up with to sell the runt of the litter. Which by the way come with health problems and do not live a normal life span as most dogs. So why would you intentionally bring more unhealthily dogs in to this world when the shelters are over crowded as it is. You already have one “teacup” and/or “unhealthy” male and you want to mate it with another unhealthy female. That is twice the health problems people will have to deal with, unless you are giving both dogs health tests before breeding. Nevertheless, you still have the over crowded shelters and dogs being euthanized everyday because there is a lack of homes. Moreover, they cannot even be purebred because if they were you would know a reputable breeder and not be asking here for a dam. It gets frustrating and complicated.
Please I cannot tell you to go spay or neutered your animal but I can ask you not to become a back yard breeder and add to this problem of overpopulation.
Good Luck in what ever you decide.
Get your runt neutered. The world doesn’t need more ill-bred unhealthy undersized runts.
There is no such thing as a teacup dog.
Do me a favor. Go to your nearest kill shelter. Ask them if you can go into the euthanasia room after they have done their unpleasant job for the day. Take a good long look at the pile of dead dogs left behind. Ask yourself if you REALLY want to add to that pile.
Think about it.
Nowhere.
95% of purebreds should be fixed (and ALL healthy mixes). Only purebred dogs who are two years old and up, have been titled, are ambassadors of their breed, and have passed through their genetic health screening with flying colours (a simple vet check doesn’t cut it) and temperament tested, should ever be bred. A new breeder should never attempt to breed if they do not have a mentor. Also, if you are serious about breeding; help out with rescue. A responsible breeder’s knowledge of whelping comes in handy if there is ever a puppy mill bust, etc.
Breeding information, and the realities of careless breeding:
has 320,096 pets in need, not all of them in safe no-kill shelters and breed rescues. As not all shelters list their animals on Petfinder, this is just a tip of the iceberg. for every dog listed here that doesn’t make it to a rescue or a home, there is someone, somewhere, responsible for their deaths.
Be a part of the solution . . . Not the problem.
Furthermore, there is no such a thing as a “teacup” anything, unless you’re referring to what’s on sale at the Royal Doulton store. Responsible breeders NEVER EVER breed these sickly, short lived runts; only backyard breeders and puppy mills pull this crap.
……
By supporting millers and backyard breeders breeding these sickly, undersized runts, you are saying that this is all okay:
Again, be a part of the solution, not the problem.
