MALTESE PUPPY AND DOG INFORMATION
The Maltese is a really popular toy breed. They are a healthy breed but attention must be considered against extremes of temperature. They could do all right in an apartment, merely requiring daily walks. They are playful, fun loving dogs and they make great little guard dogs really. They are good with older, thoughtful children and they also put up with other animals well. They do require substantial grooming to keep the beautiful coats in shape.
*Approximate Adult Size. The approximate adult size (two years old or older) of the male Maltese is 8 to 10 inches to the withers (highest point of the shoulder) and 5 to 9 pounds. The female ranges based on 8 to 9 inches to the withers and 4 to 8 pounds.
